I already shared my layover guide to Seychelles and mentioned that this is an exciting beach destination to travel and visit. The reason why I said this is because my husband and I got married in Seychelles (from Dubai) and it was one of the best decisions we ever made! Not only is Seychelles incredibly beautiful and romantic, but it is also a very easy place to get married.

We were able to do everything ourselves, without having to go through any hassle or red tape. It was very convenient because easily took a wedding package from one of the wedding organizers on the island. All we had to submit were our requirement documents (photocopy of passport and birth certificate and the organizers just arranged everything for us.

The requirements for getting married in Seychelles are very simple. All you need is a photocopy of your passport and photocopy of birth certificate (translated to English)

Note: If you have been married before, you will need to provide proof of divorce or death certificate of your previous spouse.

The wedding certificate that the organizers will send you (after your get married) will be valid already for legal use.

But if you need to process a Report of Marriage and inform your home country that you got married, you can ask the wedding organizers if they offer that particular service. In our case, they were able to process it for a minimal fee. It was such a convenient method!

You only need 3 days in Seychelles to get married. This includes the day you arrive, the day of the ceremony, and the day you leave. This was perfect for us because we didn’t have to go there and check the location, hotel, etc.
