At the recently concluded World Airline Awards held at the event at Paris Air Show, Skytrax announced the Top 10 Airlines of 2015.
Each year, more than 18 million passengers across 160 countries all over the globe participate in the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to determine how each airline company will be ranked. The travellers judge airlines from the quality of their food, the friendliness of the cabin crew, the comfort of their seats, and to their overall flying experience.
Established in 1999, the Skytrax Awards operate “independent of airline involvement, sponsorship or third-party influence,” according to Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted. The World Airline Awards is more popularly known as the Passenger’s Choice Awards and have been described as “the Oscars of the service World” making it the most important award giving body in the aviation industry.
Tony Fernandes, Group CEO of AirAsia, says “The award is acknowledged the world over, and the only award to be conferred based on independent judgments of our very own guests.”
“These awards are widely regarded as the industry’s benchmark for Excellence.” says Mr Tim Clark, President of Emirates.
