Frequently Asked Questions

The following are some of the common questions asked about Venezolana:

1. Where is Venezolana located?

Venezolana is a Venezuelan low-cost airline based in Maracaibo.

2. Do they have a background check to pass?

Every airline conducts background checks on its applicants. Previous convictions for offenses involving an aircraft or any serious crime, felony, or time spent in jail would preclude you from working as a Flight Attendant.

3. What if there is no Career Page on its website?

If there is no Career Page on their official website, you can check their social media accounts or LinkedIn profile. You can also send private message inquiries to ask if there is a scheduled open day for Flight Attendants.

4. What do Long-haul and Short-haul shift patterns mean?

A flight attendant roster is unlike any other job out there. The schedule varies depending on passenger demand, busy season like the holidays, etc. Work schedule varies from day to day basis.

Short-haul flights can range from 30 minutes to five hours in duration, depending on the airline and how they operate. The majority of these flights operate between 05:00 and 12:00 a.m.

Long-haul flights, of course, have a layover because it is hard to stay within duty hours otherwise. Because many long-haul flights are scheduled at night, a flight attendant may be briefed at 21:00 and then work overnight.

5. Do I need to live near the base?

Cabin crew typically live near their base, however, this is not the only option. Many airlines need personnel to live within 45 minutes to 90 minutes of their base. This is due to standby duties, in which the cabin crew is called out at the last minute to run a flight in which someone has been ill or is late for duty. Additionally, cabin crew can work up to 14 hours a day, so exhaustion would be an issue, with extra travel adding to the long day.
