Video: Widerøe As An Eco Airline Company

The aviation industry is responsible for billions of tons of greenhouse gases emitted annually.  Watch this video featuring Widerøe’s future environmental plans.

According to Kennedy, the reason we should journey to the moon is not that it is easy, but because it is difficult. This may seem motivating to think, however, doesn’t exactly describe Widerøe principles. The inspiration behind their tireless days of providing aviation service is because of a bigger responsibility that people need it.  Widerøe emphasizes the need for air travel even outside the bigger cities.

Nonetheless, this takes a toll on the carbon footprint being produced. Widerøe plans on starting electric aircraft by 2026 and being fossil-fuel-free by 2030. Because of their environmental collaborations and pioneer visions about fossil-free flying, they earned an international award for being an Eco Airline. Furthermore, Widerøe exclaimed that they do this not because it is easy but because it is difficult and the right way to do it.
